supporting radiographers who interpret X-rays in developing countries
Welcome!
My name is Ian Cowan and I am a radiologist from New Zealand.
This website is based on my teaching of radiographers in the South Pacific and Africa about interpretation of plain X-rays.
BREAKING NEWS 2 Jun 2025:
Please be advised that this website will be closing on the 13th of August 2025, when the Squarespace subscription expires.
I regret this, but I have not been able to find anyone to assist with and take over the site’s development and management; also I am aware that traffic has been extremely low.
I am sad that it has not been more successful, as indeed the entire WHO/ISRRT/RANZCR project to support radiographers with image interpretation also gained little or no traction.
However I have enjoyed the contact that I have had with radiographers from many countries in Africa and the Pacific over the years, and I wish you all the best for the future.

Kind regards,
Ian
