2. South Pacific workshops

 

The first workshop was held in June 2004 at the Fiji School of Medicine in Suva.

These workshops were for radiographers who had finished a 3-year diploma and who had a clinician who had agreed to act as their mentor. There were two workshops, in 2004 and 2005, followed by a refresher course in 2006 for those graduates from the first two courses who had had the highest test scores. Each of these courses had 11-13 participants, and as you can see from the first two images, there were plenty of instructors.

The high ratio of faculty to participants in these early workshops meant that we could have small group teaching and film reading sessions as well as a lecture programme.
